Subject: COME SPEAK OUT & CELEBRATE SAT. 3-7 PM
 Dear friends and supporters, Our campaign office in Dorchester is celebrating its official kickoff on Saturday, and it would be great to see you there! We're proud to be in Fields Corner, and hope you'll come out and see our magnificent space and find out how you can plug into the campaign. There's a whole lot going on (see below for details), so now's the time to join in, and together we'll make sure that there's a truly progressive voice in the governor's race this year, advancing the issues everyday people need for a secure future: single-payer health care, fair taxation, and a green jobs economy that will put people back to work while protecting the environment. As the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico reaches crisis proportions, and solutions are nowhere to be found, it becomes increasingly clear that we must now take our stand - for real democracy, for a clean and healthy environment, and for social justice. Towards that end, our campaign took part in the annual "Mothers Day March for Peace" in Dorchester last weekend, and it was inspirational to be among so many people who understood that coming together as a community is the first step to overcoming grief, injustice the terrible street violence that is claiming so many young lives. In their courage and strength, these families model for all of us how to advance the cause of peace in the face of great violence, and how to reclaim our communities in the face of great adversity. We hope to assist them in this urgent cause, and that you will join in that quest as well as we work towards more healthy, just communities throughout the Commonwealth, and the secure green future we all deserve. Join Jill, Councilor Chuck Turner, and the campaign staff to hear members of the community speaking out for peace in the streets, youth programs, green jobs in the community, CORI reform, bringing the war money home, halting needless foreclosures and more.
